Ria Lewerke’s unforgettable art direction and design distinguish many iconic album covers, billboards, and advertising campaigns for such artists as Paul McCartney, ELO, Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, Tori Amos, Rob Thomas, Matchbox 20, and many others. Born in Germany and educated at Hamburg’s Werkkunstschule and the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Ria creates marketing concepts and complete imaging for her clients: photo sessions, album art, print, and outdoor advertising.

Her illustrious career in  music, print, film, and video, spans thirty years. As Art Director for the most demanding performing artists and industry clients, her keen eye for style and edgy aesthetic has resulted in a body of work that has made a significant impact on the look of entertainment messaging and appeal.

Ria Lewerke’s exceptional ability to combine the best emerging talent and creative teams with a deep understanding of cultural resonance has made lasting impressions. Ria has worked with many of the world’s great photographers, among them: Richard Avedon, Norman Seef, George Hurrell, Victor Skrebneski, Herb Ritts, Moshe Brakha, Mark Seliger, Dean Karr, William Claxton, and Douglas Kirkland. And she has supervised such artists/designers as Andy Warhol, Mike Salisbury, John Van Hamersveld, Louise Robinson, and Michael Sowa.
